What Catholic today doesn't know that the changes in the world, and in the Church, have been quite radical since the 1960's! We look particularly at the warning Our Lady gave at Fatima in 1917, and what God allowed as a punishment...the convening of the Second Vatican Council. This is where God allowed the enemies of the Church to gain the upper hand like no other time in Church history. Finally accomplished was that which the enemies of the Church have been working towards since apostolic times! The sheep were scattered. Some Catholics fell away, other resisted the unorthodox changes. Among those who resisted are the Society of St. Pius X, now referred to as the SSPX, an organization founded in 1970 to resist the changes of Vatican II. Those who resisted were quickly referred to as "traditionalists", and there were many more Catholics (traditionalists) apart from the SSPX that resisted the heterodox (heretical) changes.

Today, we have the SSPX claiming that their leader, Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, "saved the Church", completely ignoring all the other Catholics priests and bishops whom are helping significantly in this struggle. This is largely because Lefebvre's organization grew to a large membership/following. Of course, a large following is shared by the Novus Ordo, and was shared by the Arian heretics of the 2nd century!
